Last February, Studio Doozy was lucky to be selected to be part of SOW Asia’s Biotechnology and Wellbeing Cohort 2.

SOW Asia is a charitable foundation based in Hong Kong that supports enterprises’ intent on scaling their social impact through a 4 months accelerator program

From February to June, 5 companies were trained by the SOW Asia’s team and affiliates on how to become sustainable and appealing to investors, by going to multiple business workshops and pitch practices.

Not only was SOW Asia’s training good, the connections established during the duration of the Cohort were even more valuable. Among other activities, SOW Asia lined all the teams up with staff from Goldman Sachs to help perfect our pitch and business model. We also had the honour to meet individually with multiple seasoned experts that have helped us grow and with whom we have established long-lasting connections.

Besides all of these valuable contacts, we had a fantastic time sharing among the other companies present in the Cohort. They all have amazing technologies and ideas that will definitely have a big social impact. Specially, Justin from Gens Technologies has developed a real-time sign language translator wristband for the deaf and mute and Fiona from Fiope, with a smart diaper system for modern elderly centres and hospitals among others.

The 4-month accelerator program culminated with the Investor’s Pitch Night on June 13th, in which all of the companies had the chance to pitch and introduce their company and products to a room filled with social investors and friends.

SOW Asia’s accelerator programme has been a remarkable experience that has helped us grow and connect with amazing people. We truly thank SOW Asia for such opportunity and honour to let us be part of the programme!
